After a sell out year in 2021, MessFest returns for 2022. Both the festival and Messingham show is organised by a dedicated and hardworking volunteer committee. All profits go back into Messingham show and MessFest.
Due to licensing, tickets to MessFest are NOT available to purchase on the day and must be purchased in advance from the Messingham Show website before midnight on Saturday 4th June.
However tickets to the Messingham Show daytime event can be purchased on the gate.
This year MessFest22 welcomes to the stage, THE FREDDIE & QUEEN EXPERIENCE who are the UK’s premier, internationally and critically acclaimed Queen & Freddie Mercury tribute band.
The band performs all over the world delivering a passionate and energetic show, full of Queen’s greatest hits!
Ian, as Freddie Mercury, replicates Freddie’s live shows with the looks, mannerisms, vocals, charisma, high energy and showmanship that Freddie was so famous for. The Freddie & Queen Experience is made up of some of the finest musicians in the UK, including one of the most established and accomplished professional Brian May tributes in Andy Wills. It’s simply a great show, not to missed!
THE ACTIVATORS are an 11-piece band whose eclectic style transcends Ska, Reggae, Celtic, Punk and Dub, even venturing into Balkan folk and Tango! Their energy, style and liking for utter mayhem have led to them becoming regulars on the live music circuit in the UK and in Europe. They have raised the roof from Iceland to Italy, and across the UK from Tyneside to Taunton and Carlisle to Camden, sharing the stage with many great acts from Jimmy Cliff, The Beat, The Skints to The Selecter, Fat Boy Slim and Fraebbblarnir (Iceland’s finest!) to name but a few. Returning to MessFest this year will be firm favourites Scrapyard Dogs. The band formed back in January 1999 in their hometown of Barton upon Humber and have been rocking the Lincolnshire music scene ever since. With Steve – Lead Vocals/Acoustic, Haydn – Guitar/Vocals and Daz – Bass/Vocals and a combined experience of 117 years!!! Playing all “Killer” with no “Filler” tunes from the 60s to now. Performing cover songs from the likes of James, The Killers, Pulp, Oasis, Blondie, The Jam, Stereophonics to name a few. There’s a multitude of songs to cater for many a music fan.

Why not make a day of it and grab an all day ticket, this will entitle you to stay on the ground right through to 11pm.
There will be a wide selection of food vendors suitable for everyone with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. There will also be a licensed bar and after 5pm they will be bringing out the rodeo bull.

Messingham Show is now in it’s 115th year and you can expect a jam packed day with the traditional Horse show, Classic Cars, live music and lots more including theatre performances and the Vander Wheel of death.

Entry to Messingham Show (09:00hrs to 17:00hrs) will only be granted via a worn sealed wristband purchased via the website, in village outlets and on the gate. Entry to MessFest22 (17:30hrs to 23:00hrs) will only be granted via a worn sealed wrist band purchased via this website and in village outlets. There will be no gates sales for Messfest22 so please do not attend without your pre-purchased wristband as you will be refused entry by Security Staff. No worn wristband means no entry. In addition to the advertised entertainment and events there will be a catering area selling food, hot / cold drinks, snacks, sweets etc. (including vegetarian and gluten free), a licenced beer tent, Dowse family fun fair and a wide variety of trade stalls / stands.
