Scottish singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald will visit The Baths Hall on Sunday, 5 November as part of her UK tour.
The show is the only gig in the Yorkshire and Humber region on this tour.
Tickets for Amy’s show go on sale at 10am on Friday.
Amy, who has sold 9-million albums in her career, said: “I feel like this year has been my busiest year ever for live shows; I have been all over the place playing so many amazing places in front of so many wonderful fans. Something that has struck me this year is the really positive feedback I’ve received from the stripped down part of the shows. I always worried that people would get bored without my band thrashing away in the background but it’s been quite the opposite. The same goes for the feedback of my new album, Under Stars – people seemed to be most excited by the stripped down acoustic songs. With all of this in mind, and my love for getting out there and performing live, I’ve decided to go on a very special acoustic tour. There will only be a handful of dates in smaller, intimate venues. It’ll be back to basics but i think it will make for a really special tour. I can’t wait to see you there.”

Tickets, priced from £25 each (booking fee may apply), go on sale at 10am on Friday from www.bathshall.co.uk
North Lincs TV & Film Comic Con presents Scunthorpe Comic Con 3
Comic Con returned to the Baths Hall in Scunthorpe for its third year. The event was headlined by two guest signers, Sophie Aldred (Ace in Dr Who) and Alan Harris (Bossk in Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back), as well as there being displays including the Bat Signal, a replica car from the Fast and the Furious series and more.
There were a large number of stalls selling all types of merchandise including clothing, figures, artwork, comic books, signed photos as well as a large assortment of other entertainment related merchandise.
Despite the heat, many people turned up in fantastic cosplay costumes, which can’t have been comfortable in the boiling heat.
There were a few professional cosplay groups such as the Superheroes and Sentinel Squad, who regularly attend local events, including previous Scunthorpe conventions. They give up their weekends to attend conventions and other events, entertaining the fans, all whilst raising money for charity.
Many of the attendees, including store holders, came dressed as some of their favourite characters from film, TV and comics, such as Red Dwarf, Star Wars, The Walking Dead, The X Files and the Marvel and DC Superhero movies.
Some of the cosplay highlights was Sophie Aldred meeting someone cosplaying as her character Ace, as well as a couple of cosplayers paying tribute to the late Adam West by dressing as Batman and Robin from the 1960s TV show.
There was a cosplay competition for under 13s and 13 and over, with the under 13s competition being won by a young girl dressed as Disney’s Moana and the over 13s competiton won by a guy dressed as a character from the Skyrim video game.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Youtuber Michael Lunatic, who was vlogging the event for his youtube channel, which mostly features videos of him attending various conventions.
I had a great time catching up with many of the friends I have met attending cons, plus made many more, coming away with some great memories and look forward to the return of Scunthorpe Comic Con next year.
Scunthorpe Comic Con 4 takes place at the Baths Hall, Scunthorpe on Sunday 17th June 2018.
