Arena Manager, Damien Clarke:
“The overall concept is that we provide a space that gamers can use to play a variety of different games on all the latest platforms (PC, Xbox Series X and PS5) We’re here for casual play, for people who maybe just want to be out of the house or to use equipment or consoles they don’t have at home. We’re also a space for budding esports players to try and compete at a grassroots level, with national tournaments and cups held regularly through the year. The space is often host to publisher based events, for example, currently Sony are letting people try the new PS5 with a variety of games, completely free in our arena! Last but not least we do accommodate private hire bookings for things like Children’s birthday parties!“
Current events ongoing are:
- Experience PS5 free in the arena until 30th May
- Experience Xbox Game Pass free on Saturday and Sunday mornings until 27th June
There will be more events as things start to get back to normal.
9am until 6pm Mon – Sat, 10am until 4pm Sun. Though, as the world starts to open up again and trade picks up they will be opening later until 9pm Mon – Sat.
What does it cost?
There is currently a reopening price offer so it costs only £3 per hour during off-peak times and £5 per hour during peak times. Off-peak times are Monday to Friday outside of school holidays. Peak time is weekends and school holidays. There is also the option for £5 monthly membership, which makes every hour you play £1 cheaper as well as other benefits like a 10% discount on Food and Drink purchases. There are some other price points for things like tournaments and private hire but it’s best to ask for those details in store usually.
