Free Entry: Switching It Up At FRISCH This Friday

frisch

Friday 12th September @ Schnapps Bar & Nightclub

Scunthorpe Drum & Bass Scene, Frisch at The Schnapps Bar Scunthorpe. If you have been around long enough for the old skool scene, the days when Schnapps was the last stop on a night out and the place was wall to wall packed with the weekend crowd then you may remember Hard 8.

Topping the Free entry line up at the next Frisch is Adam Switch, well known from back in the day of the busy nights and DJ music scene. Already it is gathering interest from the people of town past and present that are looking forward to seeing Switch back behind the decks in Scunthorpe.

Adam ‘Switch’ Young is a DJ, vocalist and producer based in Leeds, England. Switch’s range spans from Funk and Hiphop through to Drum & Bass and Dubstep and back to Breakbeats and Garage.

Switch began DJing in the mid 90’s playing Hardcore and Drum & Bass. He emigrated and worked in Ayia Napa for several years as a DJ and MC and began producing after returning to the UK.

The line up also includes DJ’s from other well known local nights & events such as Party In The Pines & Agenda.

There is an increasing popularity of House, Drum & Bass and Dub-step on the local scene. It’s nice to see more genres pop out into the town centre rather than walking past and hearing the cheesy pop tune “Saturday Night” blaring from the speakers.

Please support your local music scene of bands and DJ’s. This night has been set up by the previously know CTRL ALT DEL team out of the love of music and mixing. The lights are smart and the set up is top so why not check it out if the music is to your taste.

Can you fill Schnapps once again? It’s such a shame not to. As am pretty sure everyone who experienced the Schnapps era couldn’t say it sucked, the venue itself holds some fun memories and hey the drinks are cheap to. So just another reason to give it ago. Tell your friends and see you there.
