Where could you visit?

The best FREE day out we vote for is East Park in Hull. We know it’s not in Scunthorpe but it’s worth the trip! It’s absolutely brilliant for kids and families. There are various outdoor play areas here, all modern and quite large. There’s sometimes free events here too. There’s a FREE animal centre providing a walk round petting zoo type experience with plenty of animals to see and even a walk through butterfly house. There is a boating lake with paddle swan boats and a water slide but I’m not sure if this is open. There’s plenty of spots for a picnic if you don’t fancy the cafe.

If you don’t want to go to the furthest side of Hull then West Park is a lot closer to the Hessle end, it’s got play areas and a few animals but not as many and it’s not as big.

In Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire: (*Fees Apply)

20:21 Visual Art Centre

North Lincolnshire Museum

*Normanby Hall Country Park

*Go Ape

*Arial Trail / Pink Pig Farm

*Uncle Henry’s / The Maze

Be a Sponsor of Scunthorpe Nights

Since the website started back in 2013 we have been paying the hosting and for the domain from our own pockets until last year when we gained our main web sponsor for the year.

It gets renewed every year as long as we are getting enough demand and traffic. We don’t receive any money for what we do and it is all run voluntarily. We are hitting 17-32k so we thought it was probably worth it.

Last year The Wortley Hotel kindly kept our website running by sponsoring our site for a year and we would like to offer the chance to any other venues or local businesses who would like to join sponsorship for this year.
