Over the May bank holiday, Saturday 26 to Monday 28 May, 10am to 7pm, Normanby Hall Country Park is hosting an action-packed Bank Holiday Festival.

Throughout the whole weekend, the popular Continental Street Market that has recently visited Scunthorpe High Street, will have traders from around the world selling delicious international food and drink.

You’ll be able to discover the sounds and smells from across the globe at Normanby Hall.

Food on offer will range from cakes and pastries for those with a sweet tooth to flavoured cheeses and olives for those who prefer savoury treats. Not forgetting scrumptious Greek Gyros, Spanish Paella, Polish Bigo and Shao Kao Chinese Chicken.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy a carnival atmosphere with a steel band playing all weekend and fun activities for all the family, from traditional fairground rides to top class entertainment. On the Monday (28), show off your skills with our limbo competition between 1pm and 3pm.

In addition to the Continental Street Market, there will be local traders and crafters with stalls selling sweets, candles and wax melts, and play trays for children – plus much more.

Children (aged between five and 11) will be able to tackle the inflatable obstacle/assault course. Other children’s activities include a bouncy castle and face painting.

Lincs FM’s street team and a presenter will be there on Saturday and Sunday interacting with visitors.

Katy Ashworth – as seen on CBeebies will be hosting three sessions with children on the Sunday (27 May) at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. No booking required, just turn up on the day.

There will also be an opportunity to win a meet and greet with Katy Ashworth on Normanby Hall’s Facebook page – keep an eye out.

Madame Zucchini – as seen on Britain’s Got Talent will be entertaining children each day with vegetable creature making activities and vegetable theatre.

The fun-filled Festival will come to a close on the Monday (28 May) with lots for all the family to get involved in.
