First up were local band Dynamite, Dynamite. We hadn’t seen these before but they had some local fans upfront singing along to their songs. They had good energy on stage and warmed the crowd for the night ahead.
Chapter & Verse from London were Dream States main support. We were very impressed with these guys. Even though we had never heard their music or songs it was easy to go along with and enjoy them as if we had heard it many times. With melodic heavy verses and the wide range of vocals from lead singer, Josh Carter it was a great performance. All the band members had such energy and stage presence it was anything but boring to watch.
Dream State were the headline for the night as this was their tour of course. They’ve had features in Kerrang and Radio one airplay and are set to be the next big thing on the Alt scene. The video we took just doesn’t do justice to how good the band sounded live. CJ’s vocals filled the room and were nicely complimented by the guitarists backing vocals.
The band put full effort into entertaining the room with high energy and walk abouts around the audience. We really recommend seeing this band especially as this could be your last chance to catch them up close and personal in a small venue before they hit the big time, because you never know! The band were signed last year before playing Reading and things have only grown since.
It has to be said that this band were absolutely lovely people. So friendly and polite and just generally up for a chat with their fans.
If you did miss them in Scunthorpe then they will be playing the iconic Hull Adelphi Club this coming Sunday 18th Feb. Its a small venue so don’t delay before it sells out.
