Avenue Q // The Plowright Theatre

Avenue Q with Wilton Productions at The Plowright Theatre, Scunthorpe!

The Tony Award winning Avenue Q is set to be performed in Scunthorpe next month.

Wilton Productions present the show between 12 and 16 September at the town’s The Plowright Theatre. Tickets are on sale now.

Avenue Q is a very different production for Wilton, with the twist being that the principal roles are puppets, operated by the group’s talented members. This hilarious musical – one of the longest running in Broadway history – is a laugh out loud show for adults, containing mature language, love, sex, money and race. As the show contains sexual innuendo and adult language it is not intended for children under 15 years of age.

A spokesperson for the show said: “Avenue Q is filled with humour, catchy tunes, adult issues and fuzzy puppets. The story is all about a college graduate ‘Princeton’ who moves in to a run-down New York apartment in Avenue Q……… For something new and different from Wilton Productions, which has always been our aim, we hope you will come and join us on an adventure down Avenue Q.”

Tickets for opening night (Tuesday, 12 September) are priced £10 each. All other tickets are priced £12 each. Booking fee may apply. They can be purchased now from http://www.plowrighttheatre.com or by calling 0844 8542776. Calls cost 7p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.

  1. A brilliantly performed and rip roaring show. The whole package was excellent and it’s well worth the ticket price for Nicky’s expressions alone. Haven’t laughed so much in a long time!
