Horrible Histories is coming to The Baths Hall in 2021

For over 25 years the Horrible Histories books have been showing us the yucky side of history. Now the Groovy Greeks and Ruthless Romans are coming to The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe as HORRIBLE HISTORIES Live On Stage.

From 24 – 28 March 2021 this is a chance to catch two hilarious historical shows, both featuring eye-popping 3D special effects!  

From savage Sparta to angry Athens, see Groovy Greeks to discover the truth about growing up in Greece. Take on the Trojans and pummel the Persians! Compete in the first ever Olympic Games and appear in the very first play! Meet your match with the Minotaur and be zapped by Zeus! Hold on tight as you gatecrash the Groovy Greeks!

From the evil emperors to the gruesome gladiators, in Ruthless Romans find out why there’s no place like Rome! Join Julius Caesar’s battle to be emperor, experience the terrible tactics of the Roman army, hold on tight for a terrifying journey back into Roman Britain with Queen Boudicca and prepare to meet sword-slaying Spartacus!

A special feature of the productions are the amazing 3D effects called Bogglevision! Among an array of 3D illusions, the audience will feel like they’ve experienced a Greek sea battle or a gladiatorial fight in the Roman Colosseum.

These two hilarious historical journeys through the squelchiest and yuckiest moments in Greek and Roman history are perfect entertainment for anyone aged from 5 to 105!

Shows will take place on:

Thursday 25 March 2021 – Groovy Greeks – 10.30am and 7pm 
Friday 26th March 2021 – Ruthless Romans – 10.30am and 7pm 
Saturday 27th March 2021 – Ruthless Romans 3pm and Groovy Greeks 7pm
Sunday 28th March 2021 – Ruthless Romans – 11am
