Gig Review // Happy Mondays Greatest Hits Tour @ The Baths Hall

The Happy Mondays made a welcome return to Scunthorpe on Saturday night, which saw them bring their Greatest Hits tour to the Baths Hall.

Supported by DJ Jon DaSilva, who is best known for being a DJ at Manchester’s Hacienda club. He was also returning as he had supported the band last time I saw them play at the Baths Hall about 2 years earlier.

The band performed their best known tracks including “Step On” and “24 Hour Party People” and I could see everyone in the audience around me singing along to every word.

Shaun Ryder and Rowetta provided great vocals and Bez entertained the crowd with his dancing.

The performance also featured a full live band on stage.
Everyone played their parts well and it was a good trip back to the 80’s played to a busy auditorium.
I look forward to hopefully seeing the band return again in the future.
