The Knock Knock comedy club returns to The Baths Hall on Thursday evening with three more great comedians!
Gavin Webster, Allyson June Smith and Jacob Hawley will all take to the stage for an 8pm start.
Gavin Webster started his comedy career as half a double act, going solo in 1995. He was a regular team captain in Channel 4’s Does Doug Know? and is an established name on the circuit. He has also supported Lee Evans, Jack Dee and Phill Jupitus on tour. In 2014, he was named UK Circuit Comedian of the year.
After her initial forays into standup garnered her some success, Allyson June Smith hit the comedy club circuit, which in turn propelled her to headlining gigs at festivals. She shone in multiple high-profile slots at the Winnipeg, Halifax and Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. And that was just the start. In the years that followed she received multiple nominations for Best Female Stand-up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, taped her own Comedy Nowspecial and did stints on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial and CBC’s The Debaters. Now settled in the city of Manchester, it’s time for Europe to reap the rewards of Allyson’s ever-inventive comedic ascent.
Jacob Hawley is a London based stand-up comedian, writer, performer as seen on BBC3 and heard on BBC Radio 4. He first performed stand up in 2014, since then he’s done hundreds of other, nicer gigs around the UK, including big old sets at some very nice clubs. He was a finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards in 2017, he has won King Gong at The Comedy Store and he has written and starred (acted) in shorts for BBC3.
Tickets are priced £11.80 each inclusive of booking fee.
In the past we’ve seen the likes of Katherine Ryan, Joel Dommett, Gary Delaney and Lloyd Griffith take to the Knock Knock comedy club stage.
