Scunthorpe Tomorrow is a local grassroots network and community organisation dedicated to promoting, connecting and improving Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire.
“Scunthorpe Tomorrow” are hosting a community get-together tomorrow on Weds 24th June. Nothing formal, just a relaxed evening for people who care about Scunthorpe and want to connect with others who feel the same! Which seems few and far between sometimes.
I’m going to attend because usually I stay in the shadows promoting Scunthorpe in my free time as a faceless person behind a logo. I never really get involved in networking or meetings as they are usually in the day during work time so it will be nice to meet some people who care about our town and it’s future.
Organisers say, this isn’t a press conference or a “sit and listen” kind of event. It’s about people meeting people, sharing what matters to them and sparking practical ideas that can turn into action.

Why are they doing this event?
Their aim is simple: bring good people together and make it easier for the right connections to happen. The kind that leads to the creation of small groups, shared projects and “oven-ready ideas”.
If you’re someone who wants to get more involved, this is also a great stepping stone towards volunteering and helping shape what happens next.
