UPDATE: NEW CHRISTMAS SPECIAL EVENT 14TH DECEMBER.
After years Scunthorpe LGBT have now reformed a brand new team, as if by accident a group of people have come together with all the contacts and qualities to provide a night to remember. Date: 5th October 2018 Venue: VOID Nightclub, Scunthorpe High street Time: 8 till Late There will be a packed line up of Queens for your entertainment. We now have completed the line up with 5 Scene Drag Queens, who will be selfie ready for you and ready to entertain! Each act will be performing a variety of numbers and expect a few surprises along the way. Our DJ’s and Hosts for the night will be the fabulous The Dreams’ Drag Queen Duo -Kay Wye & Ida Slapter from Doncaster. The Dreams style is glamorous beyond compare, a wardrobe to die for and a show that is packed full including hilarious parodies ( tongue in cheek humor) a little audience participation that brings together a show that is electrifying and will leave you crying out for more. The Dreams both have a multitude of experiences and are no stranger to demanding audiences from working in Five Star Hotels, Compères of large events, working alongside tribute bands, UK Gala Tours and working in your local pub or social club.Whatever the audience demographic upbringing or taste The Dreams will be sure to capture them with their witty sense of humour, fabulous music and fun personalities. The Dreams shows consist of some old school fun numbers that we all love to listen and sing along too, some musical influences from well know divas. All songs have their own costumes. We also have Dixie Normous from Grimsby, with a massive following and plenty of tricks up her sleeve. And Scunthorpe’s own, never seen before duo. “Ore Haus” with Luna Saint & Bunny OhHoney. Bunny OhHoney is Pink, glittery and fueled by gin. AFAB Drag Queen from the mean streets of Scunthorpe. Usually found dancing to the music in her head or petting a strange cat in the street. Expect energetic, comedic and surprising lip syncs, glitter and her to fall over her own feet. Luna Saint’s inspiration is a cross of Bianca Del Rio, Yzma from Emperors new groove and Julie Andrews, so a lil bit bitchy, a lil bit evil & a dash of femininity and a touch of class, before 9pm… afterwards, well that would be telling. Please let us know if you can make it on Facebook HERE. You may say, Why is there a need for LGBT friendly nights in this day and age, every night should be LGBT Friendly? Sadly the fact is even though you may not see it personally, the community still face abuse, especially on a night out in town. So LGBT friendly is to let you know this night is about having fun no matter who you are or how you identify as long as you are friendly towards those from diverse communities and backgrounds. People are who they are so lets support it. www.facebook.com/scunnylgbt
