Summer Fun At College

North Lindsey College is holding its annual summer fair this June and everyone is invited.

Promising to be bigger and better than last year’s success North Lindsey College is welcoming in the community to see what College life is really about.

The Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday 9th June 2018.

10.00am -2.00pm, at the College’s Kingsway campus.

There is no entry free, with all rides and the majority of activities completely free to visitors.

The event is open to the whole community, bouncy castles, large climbing wall, zorb balls, bungee run, full sized glider plane for people to view / sit in, full sized NLC HGV trucks, engineering activities, the University Centre will be running loads of hands of activities, as will the Children’s University! So plenty going on and is for people of all ages. It’s free entry will all rides free, the only exception being some of the hair and beauty treatments there will be a small charge!

“We’re proud to be based in Scunthorpe and want to open our doors to bring the community together,” says Kit Sargent (Deputy Principal Curriculum and Quality) “There will be inflatables, go karts, engineering activities and one lucky person will get the opportunity to win a flight on a glider plane.”

Staff and students are keen to show off the facilities and the fantastic opportunities available to students, by inviting in the community and see it for themselves.

Due to high attendance last year, the summer fair will offer even more for 2018 and the list of activities is longer than ever featuring: wipe-out, obstacle courses, zorbing, Children’s University hands-on STEM activities, full-size glider plane, take a look at NLC’s very own HGVs, animal handling and official opening of the Animal Management Unit featuring 50 different species, music, drama and dance performances, hair and beauty treatments, virtual reality gaming, ice-cream, arts and crafts, garden games, bouncy castle and so much more.

Staff and the careers team will be accessible throughout the event for all enquiries regarding full and part-time provision and the opportunity to enrol is also available. The University Centre will be present at the event representing the Children’s University and also Higher Education courses.
