The first North Lincolnshire Volunteer Showcase will take place on Tuesday 5 June from 1pm to 4pm at The Baths Hall.
The aim of the Showcase is to bring together potential volunteers looking for exciting new opportunities with community organisations from across the region.
Volunteers help with all sorts of organisations, large and small, in many different roles. Their work supports their communities and makes North Lincolnshire a better place to live.
If you’re thinking about volunteering to help develop your skills, boost your career prospects or simply to help out in your community, the Volunteer Showcase is a unique event where you can find out how you can get involved with organisations and groups from across North Lincolnshire.
There’s no need to book if you want to come along, just turn up on the day between 1pm and 4pm.
For voluntary and community organisations, the Showcase is an opportunity to find new, essential volunteers with the skills and enthusiasm they need.
If you’re a member of an organisation or group which relies on the exceptional work of local volunteers, why not get in touch with us for a free stand at the event. Contact Catherine Weekley on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cllr Rob Waltham, Leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said:
“It isn’t just large organisation that rely on volunteers, smaller groups like neighbourhood watches, sports clubs and village halls all benefit from their tireless work. The Volunteer Showcase allows potential volunteers to see the full range of options available to them, some of them right on their doorstep.
“Even if you haven’t decided how you want to help in your community yet, come along to the Volunteer Showcase and discover the range of ways you can make a real difference.”
