SCUNTHORPE: MAN ARRESTED FOR CYCLE THEFT FOLLOWING FIREARMS INCIDENT ON SPILSBY ROAD

This evening (Thursday April 9, 2015) police have arrested a 32-year-old man following the theft of a cycle and a related firearms incident in Scunthorpe.

At 4.45pm a cycle was stolen from Listys Health Club on West Common Lane, Scunthorpe and the details of the alleged offender were shared on social media.

Police were then called at around 9.15pm reporting that a firearm (believed to be a bb gun) had been fired at a house on Spilsby Road, Scunthorpe. The offenders then left the area.

The occupant at the targeted address on Spilsby Road, a 32-year-old man has now been arrested by officers on suspicion of the theft of a pedal cycle and is in police custody.

Nobody was hurt in the incident.
