The Rucksack Project and help the homeless
The Forge Project, Cottage Beck Road, DN16 1UB Scunthorpe
On 28th November at 11am, The Forge Project are asking the people of Scunthorpe and surrounding areas to bring a rucksack filled with essentials for the homeless to The Forge Project. The rucksack doesn’t need to be new, any will do,fill it with a sleeping bag, hat, gloves, socks, jumpers and food (all items can be second hand, unwanted clothes you own or charity shop finds….no need to break the bank). You can add your own items to the bag too.
If you can’t attend the date but would like to help The Forge Project are willing to take in all donations to help build rucksacks. Or you can take any items to The Forge Project Monday-Wednesday 9.30-1.30 & Friday 9.30-1.30
No rucksack will go to waste, if there are any left over bags at the end of the event they will be left with The Forge Project and handed to other charities & agencies that work along side the homeless. They will use the bags to hand to any homeless individuals that require them who don’t attend on the 28th.
How would you cope sleeping outside this winter?
