With 40 top 40 singles and sales of over 100,000,000 albums world wide UB40 could to date, be one of the largest bands to play at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe since it was re-opened. Add to that the fact that this is their only gig in the Humber and Lincolnshire region and suddenly, Scunthorpe has once again proved just how popular a venue the Baths Hall is turning out to be for larger events.

For those of you who don’t know, the band was formed in 1978 and named them selves after the Unemployment Benefit form the UB40 which entitled the holder to claim £40 in unemployment benefit each week. 2 years later they released their debut album ironically titled “Signing Off” and then went on to become one of the worlds best know British reggae bands.
