Scunthorpe Independent News

Last night we went along to the Duck Egg Theatre’s newest production. The show has been touring around different theatres in the UK and finally made it back home to the Plowright Theatre, Scunthorpe .

The show dips back and fourth between years & characters but all becomes clear towards the end. It is set in 1952 and it portrays this era effectively from costume to accents, scene selection & props.

The music in the show is very well composed and performed and there is so much always going on in the background. It was great to see so many different people playing many types of instruments such as the acoustic bass, acoustic guitar, flute, trumpet and cajon. Applause was well deserved after every song they burst out and the vocal abilities varied to deliver an interesting show.
