New cocktail bar next to The Baths Hall?

We don’t know for sure, all anyone knows so far is a Request was submitted for permission to serve alcohol at former Indian restaurant “Spice Village” next to The Baths Hall. Person applied for use of venue to be changed to “cocktail bar”. It is unknown if this plan will go ahead or whether a new bar will be created.

The Berkeley Hotel

There is ongoing speculation of what is happening with the Berkeley hotel. Know one really seems to know for sure, just a lot of theories. Exterior work has been ongoing for quite some time now but no official confirmation of what is to come of the listed building. People have come out with various answers, i.e. The steelworks owners bought it and are turning it into a hotel or accommodation for overseas staff, Sam Smiths won’t sell it so it’s just getting a makeover to look nicer from the outside but isn’t reopening, It’s gonna be an old people’s home, it’s gonna be a new hotel….who knows!. Anyone fancy a wild guess?
