Effective from Monday 17th May
- People will be able to attend indoor and outdoor events, including live performances, sporting events and business events. Attendance at these events will be capped according to venue type, and attendees should follow the COVID-secure measures set out by those venues.
- Indoor hospitality venues such as restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes can reopen.
- Indoor entertainment and attractions such as cinemas, theatres, concert halls, bowling alleys, casinos, amusement arcades, museums and children’s indoor play areas will be permitted to open with COVID-secure measures in place.
Indoor sweaty gigs, Nightclubs, dancing & freedom to wander won’t be making a comeback just yet. *sad face*
Unfortunately In order to reopen venues MUST follow strict guidelines to avoid penalties and further closures so try not to take it out on the venues, it isn’t their rules. So that means face masks still have to be warn whilst entering/exiting or moving around a venue (unless exempt) and service is still limited to table service, track and trace app systems still in place. Capacity and group restrictions still apply. If you are unsure of the rules check the venues pages or the gov website.
