Cantley in Doncaster, held it’s first Star Wars con on Sunday the 21st of April, which featured several cast members from the Star Wars movies.
Pam Rose, Chris Bunn, Clem So and Willie Coppen were the special guests, as well as Willie’s son George, who is also an actor and a comedian.
The event featured something for most comic con fans, even if you aren’t the biggest star wars fan, as there was plenty to see and do.
As you arrived at the venue, the first thing you could see after being greeted by the Grey Jedi Order and Sentinel Squad UK cosplay groups, were the kids play area which featured items such as a bouncy castle, mini golf and a giant chess set.
Once you entered the venue you were met by the guests, who spent the day chatting to everyone, signing autographs, taking selfies and just having fun including Willie Coppen cosplaying as the ewok character he played in Return of the Jedi.
There was lightsaber battles, George Coppen performed a comedy show, a wrestling show, cosplay competitions, cosplay costume makers creating outfits and giving advice as well as the usual stalls you would expect to find at a comic con.
Being a huge Star Wars fan, I really enjoyed myself, so I am looking forward to attending a future event.
