The 14th of July will welcome the first 1940s Festival in Appleby.
A day filled with music and nostalgia. The festival will run from 1pm until 8pm.
There’s something for everyone at Appleby Festival, a community event that commemorates the RAF100 anniversary and an era of community spirit. There will be craft ales on sale from Fiskerton Brewery (along with other tipples), music from Marlaina Rube, May Blossom, George Formby (Colin Bourdiec), The Washboard Resonators, Room 21 and the the Axholme Sisters.
We have military and civilian exhibits, huge model aircraft and model trucks which will enthrall all ages.
Award winning children’s entertainers ‘Non-stop Kids’ will be providing magic, puppetry and other wonderful things for the younger (and quite probably older!) visitors during the day.
Come and sing-a-long, put on your dancing shoes, meet friends and make memories.
Visit the little exhibition at St Bartholomews Church, pop in for a cream tea at the Keb and browse the scarecrows.
