Scunthorpe’s Historic Lincoln Imp is building on its recent live entertainment’s success by holding two special shows on 30th/31st Jan 2015 as part of a National Arts Council /Lottery Funded “Independent Venue Week”
The Imp is further committed to live music within the town and is sending a representative to London as part of Venues Day 2014. This networking event will forge working partnerships with some of the UKs leading music companies and iconic live venues.
For the Lincoln Imp to be accepted into the fold for both of these projects is a major coup for not only The Lincoln Imp, but its customers, loyal musicians and it is a testament to the hard work put in over the last few years by the staff at The Imp, Kevin Searby and his team of promoters Adrian Cromack, Will Nicklen, Simon Barley, Mike Linehan, Laura Mattison and Michael Grant.
A spokesperson from The Lincoln Imp Entertainment team said “The Lincoln Imp has a long standing history of hosting live music events in the town for many years…The Lincoln Imp is a very different venue to its reputation of old and changes are still in the pipeline to ‘Improve’ the venue and make it a more accessible venue for the Scunthorpe Community. We welcome new and old customers to return to our establishment to witness the exciting changes take place and to experience our events… The Imp is working with local partnerships, National Projects and the local authority to provide a music experience which aims to include great events together with educational opportunities for those looking at working in music media/promotions/and sound engineering”.
This weekend see’s the Lincoln Imp showcase music with Age of Atlas, Psychobabylon, and Cortus playing a Pre Rock Open Final show. On Saturday The Imp hosts its 2nd Rock Open Final.
