It was off to a late start as both solo artists Smiley Cam & Richard Rands both forfeited their places in the 1st semi final.
This left Cleethorpe’s band Cortus to kick off the proceedings of the night. They put on a good show and it was nice to see the member switch being used to change the songs about. They had some good energy and enthusiasm and were probably one of the more rocky bands of the night.

Next up was Coaves from Hull they were Upbeat and energetic. With quite a distinctive sound driven by the higher end of the lead and rhythm guitars. The backing vocals added a nice touch to the sound.
To follow was 3 piece from Hull Crooked Lizard brought a Bluesy / funk style. Really nice funky bass lines. The bassist gave a lot of energy and presence to the stage and we would have liked to have seen a little more enthusiasm on the drummers face.

Last On stage were Recruits our newest local band on the Scunthorpe scene, who bring you some alternative rock. Top vocals and catchy tunes.
