Out Of Town Attraction//Hull Fair 2014

Hull Fair is here!!!

Thrill-seekers can sample a new ride at this year’s Hull Fair. Dreams Live will appear for the first time the famous fair and will spin riders at speeds of up to 60 miles per hour.

Spencer Stokes, the owner and operator of Dreams Live, said: “It’s an extreme ride and it’s very fast. You get a ride on the ground and then it starts to lift to the very top, making it even more surreal.”

Built in Italy, the thrill-ride is the only one of its kind in the UK and cost 500,000 euros to buy in 2005.

The fair has more than 250 rides and an array of attractions, including old favourites such as palm-reading, waltzers and dodgems, alongside newer and exciting rides such as the Starflyer.

For those who like to keep their feet on the ground there are many stalls offering games such as bingo, hook-a-duck and darts.

There will be stalls along Walton Street filled with fairground food from hamburgers and hot dogs to candy floss, toffee apples, pomegranates and hog roasts.

Venturing further into the fairground there are about 55 rides for children including trampolines, fun houses and helter-skelters.

A total of 500,000 people are expected to enjoy the rides, which include the white-knuckle ‘Rock Rage’, the ‘Toboggan’ Rollercoaster and the Bungee.
