Knock Knock comedy club returns to The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe
Following packed out shows in January and February, the Knock Knock comedy club returns to The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe on Thursday, 26 March. Dave Twentyman and Phil Jerrod will be joined by another, as yet unconfirmed, comedian and take to the Knock Knock stage.
The first thing you notice about Phil Jerrod is the quite alarming amount of face-foliage that clings to his chin. His innovative stream-of-consciousness style, inspired by a harsh upbringing in the cruel and unforgiving conditions of middle-class rural Warwickshire, has seen him perform in clubs, arts centres and theatres all across the UK and helped build his reputation as having grown one of the largest beards in stand-up comedy. He has recently been nominated for the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Award 2014, and in 2013 was a semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny New Act of the Year Competition.
Affable, quick witted banter merchant Dave Twentyman has always gone down a treat at The Baths Hall and we’re delighted to have him back. He survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that we somehow stole from Barry Manilow. He’s a regular performer at the best comedy clubs in the country, as well as music festivals such as Reading & Leeds, V Festival and Download.
The event will be held, as usual, in our downstairs lounge and places are limited. Tickets, priced £10 (booking fee may apply), are available now via http://www.bathshall.co.uk, in person at The Box Office or by calling 0844 8542776. Acts subject to change.
