The Funky & Some nights ran from 1992 to 1994 at The Bridge Hotel in Scunthorpe with DJ’s “The Groove Committee”.
It’s been 30 years since then so they’ve decided it was about time they got back together and re lived those days by having a free admission event running from 2pm until late at The Honest Lawyer Bar in Scunthorpe.
Expect to hear various releases from that time from record labels such as Acid Jazz, Talkin’ Loud etc from the likes of The Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Galliano plus various Soul releases from that time together with an eclectic blend of Funk & Rare Groove classics from the 70’s & 80’s.
