Stephen Wade talks about his work as a writer in residence in three very different prisons. He will read from his new poetry collection, ‘Stretch’, and tell some stories from the projects he has been involved in, describing how creative writing can be an asset in a prison regime.

John D Rowbottom shares a collection of his memories whilst serving with Her Majesty’s Armed Forces (RAF Regiment) from 1966 to 1976. Stories of life lived to the full, and things they don’t tell you about on recruiting posters; not knowing if the Cold War would one day turn hot.
