There were 24 places up for grabs in the four heats of the 2014 Scunthorpe Rock Open and it didn’t take long to fill up. From the acts entered so far, I have seen a couple and there is a nice mix ranging from acoustic to the more heavy metal. 
The Recruits
We can see so far in the entrants there are a mix of local Scunthorpe acts and also a nice variety of surrounding areas. One local band entered into the competition will be the newest band to the local scene Alt Rock ‘The Recruits’ these boys have already been all over playing gigs this summer and are getting noticed for it.
