Best Local Cafe: Claire’s Cafe
Based on East Common Lane, it’s a popular spot to order breakfast or lunch and even eat in. With solid choices on the menu and regular specials, the breakfast hits hard as a favourite with locals.
2nd Place Bebe’s Deli
Congratulations to all the winners and to all the nominees. Your customers love you, so keep doing what you do! And I’ll see some of you for a review soon maybe…
And I know, I know a big Portuguese style chicken chain is coming. Is it overrated? Yeah, sometimes. But it’s positive that a chain mostly seen in cities wants to invest in Scunthorpe and whether you like it or not a lot of people do love a cheeky Nando’s. It could be an opportunity for more names to follow, I mean I’m sure we’d love some of the shop chains that left to return. But I urge local people to support the small independents alongside the big chains, even once in a while. Support small businesses and local people because there is some amazing food in and around Scunthorpe and some lovely people that pour their passion into it.
