The long wait seems to be over as a quiet opening saw Lalezar Scunthorpe welcome it’s first customers this week. What I mean by quiet opening is the only indication the new restaurant had opened was a short story post on social media and a large archway of gold & black balloons around the main entrance.

The new restaurant is yet to publish opening times & days but when they do, I’ll be sure to update. Situated on Doncaster Road in Scunthorpe next to the Lidl supermarket in the venue previously known as Encore, Peaky Blinders and then Boston Brothers. As you can see, inside looks warm and inviting, modern and spacious and the new windows and view from the exterior of the building look very inviting.

This is Lalezars 3rd restaurant, with successful restaurants of the same name trading in Doncaster and Rayleigh. Lalezars restaurants are popular with large groups for its huge platters of grilled meats. The name Lalezar in Turkish, means “tulip garden” or “tulip bed”. Alluding to the beauty and cultural significance of the tulip.
Serving up Authentic Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine.
The restaurants are well-known for their charcoal-grilled items and Meze (appetisers). Customer reviews of their other venues often praise the friendly service, fresh ingredients and generous portion sizes

The Scunthorpe venue isn’t on their website yet and I’m yet to find a Facebook page solely for the Scunthorpe restaurant but you can visit Lalezar website below.
There’s no doubt, at some point in the future I’ll be dining and reviewing here but you might beat me to it, so let everyone know what you thought in the comments.
