Saturday 11th October and Sunday 12th October visit Winterton Showground for a free family friendly Kite festival.
10am-4pm
No booking needed, large carpark and toilets onsite, donations welcome towards next years festival.
There will also be a kite making workshop *fee may apply
Kite maker and flyer, David Will be there with his fantastic home made kites, a dragon who needs a name and Steve from Minecraft!

The festival will have a selection of Young Joe’s kites.

SkyTracks will be entertaining the crowds performing their kite ballets to music in the main arena. Back just in time from flying in Europe.

Looking forward to attending Winterton Festival of Kites is Mandy & Shaun, the organisers met them at a kite festival many years ago and since then their collection of kites has grown including this impressive looking Octopus.

Next up attending Winterton Festival of Kites is Ernie’s Koi displaying in fuerteventura. Awarded best in show at Barmouth festival 2024

Also joining the display is this huge, Bertie Bassett Kite, Originally from Ilkley, Bertie now lives in Scunthorpe with his family, he is 22 years old, 32ft tall and loves getting up to all sorts at Kite festivals around the UK!
Make sure you look out for him on 11th & 12th October 2025 at Winterton Showground.
