Celebrating national Employability Day by hosting an event to help local people get into work.
Employability Day is an opportunity for organisations like Ongo to showcase the opportunities we have to help people get into work. It is also a chance to
celebrate successes over the last 12 months of helping individuals become work ready, secure their next step in their career and highlight all of the support
available.
An event hosted at their Cole Street office in Scunthorpe on 20 June from 10am until 2pm and everyone is welcome.
The event will feature a variety of sessions for attendees to participate in, including
- Where you can get your CV look at by a professional recruitment consultant
- Gain interview techniques
- Apply for current vacancies
- Learn about what free training is on offer
- Workshops and informational talks
Additionally, several local employers will be present, offering attendees the chance to explore job opportunities and potentially secure employment on the spot. More employers will be announced as the event approaches.

Pete Tedde, Employment Support and Life Coach Lead, said: “This is going to be a fantastic event, with so many opportunities for people either looking for
work, looking for employment support or those wanting to find out more about what we do.
“Having local employers at the event means people could potentially walk away with a new job after visiting us. We can’t wait to see as many people there as possible.”
There will also be colleagues from Ongo on hand to talk about the different services we have to help people become work ready, and for those looking to take
the next step in their career. There will also be information about apprenticeships, volunteering opportunities and training available.
There will be refreshments on offer too.
