The highly anticipated Big North Lincolnshire Talent Show, Spotlight! is back with the full line-up now revealed.
On 26 April 2025, The Baths Hall in Scunthorpe will once again host the biggest celebration of local talent in North Lincolnshire. With a line-up more exciting than ever, this year’s event promises to captivate audiences with a dynamic mix of performances, ranging from tap dancing and street dance to solo singers, live bands, circus skills, and Taiko Drums.
Sponsored by Kapil Care Homes, this annual event will once again show the incredible skills and creativity within the region.
After an exciting series of auditions, 35 incredible acts performed live at the Plowright Theatre. From these, the competition was fierce, and the decision-making was tougher than ever for the judges making it virtually impossible to narrow the acts down to a final 12. So this year, 13 outstanding acts will take to the stage at The Baths Hall:

- Ava Rose Kyte – Tap Dancer
- Harry Lawrence – Singer
- Lahiru – Singer
- Rhythmic Kidz – Dance
- Street Beat – Street Dance
- Paige Allison – Singer
- Pippa Vernon – Singer
- Eloise Linton – Circus Artist
- Gyoko Youth Taiko – Taiko Drummers
- Autumn & Fauna Price – Duo
- After Midnight – Band
- Brooke Dempsey – Dance & Acrobatics
The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Cllr Janet Longcake, who attended the auditions, shared her excitement: “Attending the auditions has once again been inspiring, this year we had entries from far and wide. The amount of talent in North Lincolnshire is huge, and I cannot wait to see the finalists shine on the Baths Hall stage. Good luck to all involved!”
Hosted by Darren Johnson, Spotlight! will be an evening to remember, packed with unforgettable performances, audience participation, and plenty of laughs. The event will culminate with the announcement of the grand prize winner, who will walk away with £1,000.
Joining Darren on stage will be an esteemed panel of guest judges, each bringing a wealth of experience to the task of selecting the winner:
- Lee Waddingham – Founder of Acting Lincs and professional performer/director
- Zoe Wright – Professional musical theatre actress and local pantomime favourite
- Mark Kelsey-Donaldson – Singer and songwriter for local band Dirty Sterling
- Leanne Jones – West End star, best known for her role as Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London
