Fantastic Free Fun Family Play Event // June 1st

Come and Play! at our free fun family event on Saturday 1 June, 11am – 4pm, an exhilarating day of creativity and entertainment for children and adults alike.

The exciting event aimed at under 10s is being co-hosted by 20-21 Visual Arts Centre.

Church Square will be taken over by an amazing Actual Reality Arcade, where you can take part in games including real-life Pac-Man, whack-a-mole with real people’s heads, life-size Tetris, Asteroids you actually shoot at, a Space Invaders coconut shy and more.

Theatre company Half A String will be bringing their fantastic puppet van to Church Square, which puts on performances two metres up in the air – meaning everyone gets a fantastic view. The shows will be on at 11.30am and 2pm.

Join Playful Anywhere and the Giant Pink Playbox of Delights for free sensory play and creativity in the fresh air with early years playful artist Beatrice Knowles.

Marble runs, bubbles, chalk, cosmic den building and a cosy chill out space all await you.

North Lincolnshire Museum will be bringing along toys from the past and Dudley Bear will be saying hello throughout the day.

The children’s library at Scunthorpe Central will be inviting children to Play a Story between 10am to 1pm, where they will be bringing a story to life with props and play.

Play! Is funded by a UK Government grant and 20-21’s Art Council funding.

Welcome to your free what’s on and reviewing platform. Solo volunteer project running since 2013. Supporting events, music, theatre & food for the local area.
