Review // Planet Circus OMG

We visited Planet Circus OMG when they recently set up in Scunthorpe at Glanford Park car park.

We’ve been to Planet Circus OMG before when they’ve visited but the show changes every year and they add extras in, so we were looking forward to it. It’s great for all ages and something for everyone.

You can expect lots of different acrobatic acts, vibrant costumes and extremely powerful and dazzling laser lights, which do look pretty spectacular circling round the big top.

The audience on this occasion seemed pretty reserved for some reason, so we made sure to make plenty of noise because the performers work hard enough to deserve it, performing very dangerous stunts throughout the show.

The clown was actually really funny without saying anything and just using voice effects and one word phrases and whistles, the audience interaction was challenging for him as not many people were willing to budge from their seats but he did eventually manage to get some participants up and get people laughing.

To be honest the the teens were really impressed by the talented Bulgarian duo Stefaneli bringing their fascinating quick-change act into the ring, along with their sensational spaceship performance, which will float through the air and stun spectators as they watch in amazement, this is a big wow for the little kids.

The performers and staff of this circus are some of the friendliest I’ve ever met, they are always so friendly, smiley and welcoming.

The most terrifying part of the show is probably the final act, The Globe Of Death including the circus’s own incredible FMX team hitting speeds of 70mph before your eyes! As the smell of petrol fills the air and they fit as many motorbikes as possible into a small spherical cage. The noise and hype gets everyone on the edge of their seats.

I’d really urge you to watch the show, with or without children it’s a great show for all ages. The show has now moved for it’s next leg of the tour in Gainsborough and it will be there from Tuesday 28th March to 2nd April and then moving onto Doncaster.
