Steel FM are a Community Radio Station for Scunthorpe, Winterton, Brigg, Kirton in Lindsey, Barton, Crowle, Epworth and the Surrounding Villages.
They started broadcasting in March 2020 and celebrate 3 years on air on the 18th March, currently are available over the internet.
They have their own Alexa skill, app from the IOS store and google play, google home, smart TVs, Virgin Media and Channel 277 on Freeview.
They are also available on many different radio apps on the internet for example Radio UK, Radio Line, Online Radio Box, Streema, UK Radio.Net, Live Radio, Get Me Radio, Internet Radio UK, Zeno Radio, Listen to Online Radio, and My Tuner Radio to name but a few.
We believe in putting Local back into Local Radio as we seem to have lost the localness from radio these days.
We believe in supporting local businesses and the local community, we are a Not-for-Profit organisation with CIC status and are staff by volunteers.
With been in the heart of the community and engaging with the community we are looking at connecting with local community projects, organisations and business within North Lincolnshire.
Currently we are getting around 31,000 to 33,000 unique connections per week with an average of 124,000 hours listened to per week. This is constantly growing as time goes by.
We broadcast from our studios based within Britannia House, Britannia Corner, who we share with Know Media, Keystone Architecture and of course the Black Door.
