KIRTON LINDSEY: APPEAL FOLLOWING SERIOUS ROAD TRAFFIC COLLISION ON B1398
Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision today (Tuesday 07 October 2014) between a car and a pedestrian on the B1398 North Cliff Road near Kirton Lindsey.
A silver coloured Vauxhall Corsa left the road near to Manton and the only occupant, a 24-year-old-man, began to walk towards Kirton Lindsey.
After about a mile and a half the man was involved in a collision with a blue coloured BMW 3 series near to the Windmill in Kirton Lindsey at around 0600hrs.
The 24-year-old was treated at the scene before being taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with serious potentially life threatening injuries.
The occupant of the BMW was not injured in the incident.
Police would like to speak anyone who witnessed the collision or the man walking on the B1398 between Manton and Kirton Lindsey prior to the collision. Anyone with information should call Humberside Police on 101 quoting log 49 of 07/10/14.
