Charity Fundraiser // Words, Music, Glee & Delight #NormanbyHall

Tuesday 19th Sept, Ian McMillan is returning to North Lincs to host a special concert at Normanby Hall.

You are invited to join poet, playwright and broadcaster, Ian McMillan, on Tuesday 19 September at Normanby Hall Country Park for a charity fundraising event in aid of the North Lincolnshire Children’s Literacy Trust.

Ian will be joined by Olympic composer, Luke Carver Goss, to present a hilarious night of words, music and improvisation. The event will be held in the stunning Normanby Hall Regency Room and starts at 7pm.

Tickets cost £15 each (booking fee may apply) and proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to supporting the work of the North Lincolnshire Children’s Literacy Trust. The charity helps local families discover the joys and benefits of reading.

Ian, known as ‘the bard of Barnsley’ for his distinctive Yorkshire accent, hosts BBC Radio 3 show The Verb and is a regular on BBC Breakfast and Countryfile. He is a familiar figure to audiences in North Lincolnshire as a former poet-in-residence with Humberside Police. Ian also contributed the words to the acclaimed opera ‘Cycle Song’, the celebration of Scunthorpe steelworker turned Olympic cyclist, Albert ‘Lal’ White.

Tickets for the event are available directly from Normanby Hall by calling 01724 720588 or online.
