Gig// Wet Records:Musicians Against Homelessness

Wet Records who you can regularly find at Cafe Indie with their pop up stall are pleased to announce they shall be working with Musicians Against Homelessness in 2018, and their chosen venue of course for all their MAH gigs will be Café INDIEpendent !!
MAH aims to raise funds for the homeless Charities Crisis, and to provide gig opportunities for up and coming bands, with the backing of Alan McGee and some of the biggest names in the music industry, 2018 looks set to continue raising awareness for the homeless and much needed funds.

Their first fundraising gig is a big one called ‘THE ROYAL BEDDING DAY, on the same day as the Royal Wedding, this is in response to the recent news that the streets of Windsor will be cleared of homeless people.

The aim is to put on as many music events as possible across England, Scotland and Wales, to support homeless people and make a lot of noise’. – Musicians Against Homelessness.

New// Happy Mondays to visit The Baths Hall

Legendary indie band Happy Mondays are coming to Scunthorpe later this year.

Bez and Shaun Ryder will bring the band to The Baths Hall on 29 November.

Manchester’s legendary Happy Mondays will embark on a 25 date tour of the UK and Ireland for November and December 2017.

The ‘Twenty Four Hour Party People – Greatest Hits Tour’ announcement comes on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the  Happy Mondays’ debut album ‘Squirrel and G-Man Twenty Four Hour Party People Plastic Face Carnt Smile (White Out)’.

Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder said, “I am really looking forward to the ‘Mondays’ shows leading up to Christmas 2017. We’re performing better than ever and I love getting together with the band, blasting out all our great tunes we’ve made together over the decades. It’s gonna be great.”

Bez, the group’s dancer and percussionist, added, “Just as I thought it was all over, the party’s starting again. Look forward to seeing you all.”

Standing and limited seated tickets go on sale this Friday at 10am priced £29.50 each. Booking fee may apply.
