Organiser Victoria Markham posted to the Facebook group:

“One of our intentions with Red Tent was to be able to support and celebrate women in our own community. One of our lovely women has been fund-raising to help make her life more mobile. Her friends in Knit Happens decided to celebrate her strength and aid her by creating a monthly raffle of a beautiful croqueted hand-made blanket.”

Wednesday // Steve Bird’s Alternative Disco

Seeing as though Mr. B’s gonna be back in old blighty for a few weeks in July, we thought we’d better take this opportunity to organise a Steve Bird Disco.

The night will commence with DJ Crum manning the decks, to give the mighty Birdman chance to circulate for a while, before taking to the stage to entertain you long into night in his own inimitable style.

Rate at the gate is £2 – with proceeds going to Greenpeace.
