FREE BUS SERVICE TO NORMANBY HALL THIS BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!!
Children’s television favourite Katy Ashworth is one of the exciting acts performing at this year’s Bank Holiday Festival at the award-winning Normanby Hall Country Park on 25, 26 and 27 May 2019 from 10am to 5pm.
Around 15,000 people flocked to the first Normanby Hall Country Park Bank Holiday Festival that took place in May last year.
There will be a different theme each day, with fun for all the family. Throughout the weekend, resident DJ Marco will be providing music and entertainment and there will be a range of delicious food stalls and unique craft stalls.
Fairground rides and a brand new ‘Normanby Arms’ pop up pub, so you can enjoy draft beer, lager and cider, as well as a selection of gins and soft drinks.
Saturday 25 August is a princesses and superhero day, featuring:
*Performances throughout the day from the Dizney Dates princesses
*Local emergency service superheroes – police, ambulance and fire services
*The Sentinel Squad
*Competitions for best dressed princesses and superheroes (including adults) and more!
Please note that usual Park admission fees apply, or display your annual pass. Across the weekend, entry will be charged from 9.30am, due to the earlier start time of the events.
This bank holiday weekend was a first for us for a while in Scunthorpe. We decided to check out the events on offer in the town centre.
Now usually I only see Bank Holiday in town in the form of a photo online. Rewind back 7-8 years ago and pretty much every weekend had people waiting outside Schnapps, Mary Rose, The Light and Henry’s.
Well sad to say this Bank Holiday there we no people waiting to get in anywhere, yes it was Carnivals and Festivals out of town but still was this to blame or are people just leaving town on mini buses and going else where.
We posted a status on our social media about the subject yesterday and how it saddened us that town was not a very popular choice after all the effort the different venues, promoters, Bands & DJ’s went to. It did come as quite a shock as the time progressed into the night it still didn’t seem to pick up at any point.
So what did you do this weekend? Did you stay in? Did you have a party/BBQ or did you leave town for a particular night out?
