Scunthorpe Rugby Club Bonfire @ Heslam Park
Nov 4 @ 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
The bonfire will be lit at 6.15pm and fireworks will take place at 7.15pm

Epworth Community Bonfire Night @ Epworth Showground, The Turbary
Nov 5 @ 4:30 pm

Winterton Bonfire @ Winterton Showground
Nov 5 @ 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Bonfire lit at 7pm and the fireworks will start at 7.20pm. They will be split into two 10 minute parts, with a short interval in between. Entry is £10 per car (including all occupants) and if you choose to walk in it’s £3 for adults, £2 for children and free for under-fives. Disabled car parking will be available on the night. The Baths Hall is again hosting its Funny Scunny competition and searching for a new comedy star.The winner will receive £400 cash, a trophy and the chance to perform at a future Knock Knock comedy club night. Heats take place on 15, 16 and 23 July. Each night starts at 8pm and entry is completely free.

Legendary West End show The Mousetrap to visit Scunthorpe next month

Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap will continue its record-breaking UK tour with a six-night run at The Baths Hall, Scunthorpe next month.

The beloved murder mystery, celebrating its 60th anniversary, will begin the leg of its 2015 tour at His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen on 28 April and visit over 25 venues across the country. It will take to The Baths Hall stage from 15 to 20 June.wpid-wp-1432071515075.jpeg

The Mousetrap is the story of when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. One by one the characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last moment the identity and motive are revealed.

The cast for the 2015 tour visiting The Baths Hall includes Hester Arden (Macbeth, Orange Tree Theatre) as Miss Casewell, Edward Elgood as Christopher Wren, Mark Homer (Eastenders’ Tony Hill) as Giles Ralston, Esther McAuley as Mollie Ralston and Jonathan Sidgwick (Hollyoaks; Coronation Street) as Mr Paravicini. William Ilkley joins from the West End production of The Mousetrap as Major Metcalf alongside Luke Jenkins and Anne Kavanagh who will reprise their roles from the 2014 tour as Sgt Trotter and Mrs Boyle respectively.

The production, which originally opened in 1952 starring the late Richard Attenborough and his wife Sheila Sim, will visit: Aberdeen, Sunderland, Mold, Dundee, Preston, Newark, Eastbourne, Scunthorpe, Lowestoft, Wolverhampton, Sheffield, Weston-Super-Mare, Swansea, Bradford, Bournemouth, Oxford, Truro, Canterbury, Northampton, Durham, Gravesend, Dorking, Horsham, St Albans, Colchester, Hamilton, Buxton and Coventry. The 2015 leg of the tour started on April 28 and will run till 14 November.

Tickets are priced £24.50 for the evening shows and £21.50 for the matinee (booking fee may apply, see website for details).
