Local DJ event Agenda, which is usually held at Class Six in Scunthorpe have continued to fill their night month after month with returning revelers showing up to be a part of the event. The event is held on regular dates throughout the year.
Agenda hasn’t gone unnoticed on the DJ and Dance scene and the residents have bagged themselves slots at Lincoln’s MINT FESTIVAL, which will take place on September 20th at Lincolnshire showground. 1st & 2nd release tickets have now gone. But here is the ticket information via the link below.
If you are facing a little Party In The Pines withdrawal, or even if you just love indie or Hardr:ve then this event will be right up your street.
Obviously it will be different to being surrounded by tree’s in the middle of nowhere as it takes place over 2 floors at Henry’s in the town centre. Throughout the day there will be live music and jam sessions going on.
Then the alternative to this will be Hardr:ve. So this means two different genres and event types under one roof for the same ticket price and you are free to go up and down and switch between events.
Tickets are available from Celebrate Party Shop on Robert Street or from Acid Peacock promoter Brad Dring Hill. Advance £5 and on the door will be £10 so we please urge you to buy early and save yourself £5.
Under 18’s will be allowed until the stated time on the promo for the event.
The Indie and live music will be run by Acid Peacock who were your main stage organisation and booking for some of the Party In The Pines main stage line up.
The rave part is run by Hardr:ve who ran the rave arena at the festival.
We know it isn’t quite the same as being outdoors but it’s a cracking line up and a variation of music options in a town centre location.
Wow well if you weren’t already getting enough for your ticket price. With your bring your own drinks, Free camping, Free Parking, DJ stage & Main stage acts, the Party In The Pines team along with Acid Peacock have sourced you some more top talent to expand your line up.
Which Band/DJ are you most looking forward to?
So meet the new additions:
The Slow Readers Club are a Manchester based Indie / Electro band who’s output ranges from insanely catchy upbeat indie to angry, introspective downbeat ballads. Their music has drawn comparisons with Interpol, The Killers and Arcade Fire.
Their critically acclaimed Debut album released in May 2012 and has had airplay on BBC 6 Music, BBC Introducing, NME, Q Radio and NME TV, Sky Sports and ITV.
Their youtube channel has seen 155,707 views to date helped in no small part by the video for ‘Block out the Sun’ featuring on Coldplay’s website.
(Forever In Your Debt)
Turrentine Jones are a three piece band formed in Manchester, UK. http://www.turrentinejones.co.uk Glamorous, sleazy, sexy, Turrentine Jones was brought together by a mutual love of Stax Records.
The anchors of the Turrentine Jones sound are Julian Neville, whose slicing, fuzzed riffs draw a comparison to Steve Cropper, and Thomas Scotson, who provides much of the groove with his floating organ lines.
Artists they also like: The Animals, Lou Reed, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Booker T & the MGs, The Seeds, The Mar-Keys

Friday 12th September @ Schnapps Bar & Nightclub
Scunthorpe Drum & Bass Scene, Frisch at The Schnapps Bar Scunthorpe. If you have been around long enough for the old skool scene, the days when Schnapps was the last stop on a night out and the place was wall to wall packed with the weekend crowd then you may remember Hard 8.
Topping the Free entry line up at the next Frisch is Adam Switch, well known from back in the day of the busy nights and DJ music scene. Already it is gathering interest from the people of town past and present that are looking forward to seeing Switch back behind the decks in Scunthorpe.
Adam ‘Switch’ Young is a DJ, vocalist and producer based in Leeds, England. Switch’s range spans from Funk and Hiphop through to Drum & Bass and Dubstep and back to Breakbeats and Garage.
Switch began DJing in the mid 90’s playing Hardcore and Drum & Bass. He emigrated and worked in Ayia Napa for several years as a DJ and MC and began producing after returning to the UK.
The line up also includes DJ’s from other well known local nights & events such as Party In The Pines & Agenda.
There is an increasing popularity of House, Drum & Bass and Dub-step on the local scene. It’s nice to see more genres pop out into the town centre rather than walking past and hearing the cheesy pop tune “Saturday Night” blaring from the speakers.
Please support your local music scene of bands and DJ’s. This night has been set up by the previously know CTRL ALT DEL team out of the love of music and mixing. The lights are smart and the set up is top so why not check it out if the music is to your taste.
Can you fill Schnapps once again? It’s such a shame not to. As am pretty sure everyone who experienced the Schnapps era couldn’t say it sucked, the venue itself holds some fun memories and hey the drinks are cheap to. So just another reason to give it ago. Tell your friends and see you there.

Saturday 16th August
Successful artists and DJs on the underground dance music scene during the 1990s will be playing sets comprising only of music produced in the year 1999 or before. All DJ sets are vinyl only.
The event is to provide a full day of inspiring house music produced during the 1990s and showcase increasingly forgotten beat-matching skills. To recreate the positive, friendly atmosphere that existed during the early rave and underground dance music scene.
The line-up is intentionally diverse. Funky, soulful house music will be followed by acts from the breakbeat scene, classic progressive house as well as flashbacks to the old skool rave scene.
Now the amazing ALISON LIMERICK added to the event.
