Amy MacDonald to perform // The Baths Hall

Scottish singer-songwriter Amy MacDonald will visit The Baths Hall on Sunday, 5 November as part of her UK tour.

The show is the only gig in the Yorkshire and Humber region on this tour.

Tickets for Amy’s show go on sale at 10am on Friday.

Amy, who has sold 9-million albums in her career, said: “I feel like this year has been my busiest year ever for live shows; I have been all over the place playing so many amazing places in front of so many wonderful fans. Something that has struck me this year is the really positive feedback I’ve received from the stripped down part of the shows. I always worried that people would get bored without my band thrashing away in the background but it’s been quite the opposite. The same goes for the feedback of my new album, Under Stars – people seemed to be most excited by the stripped down acoustic songs. With all of this in mind, and my love for getting out there and performing live, I’ve decided to go on a very special acoustic tour. There will only be a handful of dates in smaller, intimate venues. It’ll be back to basics but i think it will make for a really special tour. I can’t wait to see you there.”

You can watch the video for Amy’s new single ‘Down By The Water’ here –> http://po.st/DownByTheWater

Tickets, priced from £25 each (booking fee may apply), go on sale at 10am on Friday from www.bathshall.co.uk

Summary// Party In The Pines 2016

It’s always such an experience at Party In The Pines. Believe me you’ll always have a memory of it once you’ve lived it, whether you want it or not lol.

Once again we were lucky for another year with exceptional sunshine and heat beaming through the trees, maybe even a little too hot.

Entering the car park and camping field it already seemed a lot busier earlier on than previous years. I have been attending Pines since it started publically and every year has just seen more and more new and returning faces from Scunthorpe and from a far. WILL VARLEY JOINS THE PROCLAIMERS + BILLY BRAGG ON TOUR

“Powerful, political and pertinent”  THE INDEPENDENT

WILL VARLEY continues his silver-tongued serenading with the opening cut from his much-lauded third album Postcards From Ursa Minor.
‘As For My Soul’ sets out Will’s insight into modern malaise, and his solutions to getting by – “drink a beer, sing a song”.  A slight shanty edge sifts this jauntier song across the centre of his musical spectrum, like a hungover morning with the promise of a brighter afternoon.
