Since the website started back in 2013 we have been paying the hosting and for the domain from our own pockets until last year when we gained our main web sponsor for the year.
It gets renewed every year as long as we are getting enough demand and traffic. We don’t receive any money for what we do and it is all run voluntarily. We are hitting 17-32k so we thought it was probably worth it.
Last year The Wortley Hotel kindly kept our website running by sponsoring our site for a year and we would like to offer the chance to any other venues or local businesses who would like to join sponsorship for this year.

Join The Blue Door shine a light on sexual abuse and sexual violence by lighting up the Humber Bridge in solidarity with survivors.
6pm – 7pm. All are welcome.
The meeting point is at 6pm at Humber Bridge Car Park, Hessle, HU13 0LN to walk across the bridge together.
Please be sure to wear warm clothes and comfortable footwear.
Stewards will be present along the route.
A limited number of glow sticks will be available to light up the bridge, but please feel free to bring your own torch or glow sticks. Please note that no open flames are permitted.

A petition was started by local man Neil Herrick just over 3 weeks ago to get the council to re discuss the future of Kingsway Golf Course.
Humberside Police are appealing for members of the public to be aware that a man has been reported to have been exposing himself to walkers in Central Park in Scunthorpe.
Police have received a number of calls recently, the latest one was on Saturday 13 September 2014 at 1950hrs.
The suspect is described as wearing a burgundy t-shirt, a beanie hat, black wellington boots and beige coloured underpants. He was not wearing trousers.
Investigating officers have asked for anyone who sees anyone acting suspiciously in the park to contact them immediately on 999.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Saturday or any previous incident to contact them on the non emergency telephone number 101, quoting log number 668 of 13 September.
