In these rubbish lockdown times, we have to order food in rather than go out and make a night of it. Obviously there are regular takeaway providers that only provide takeout year round but below are a few places that would usually be EAT IN now offering collection and delivery on food. This is the only way these businesses can trade without customers physically coming through their doors. So if you don’t fancy cooking, give it a go.

The Greek Kitchen
Seemingly most popular and also one of the newest restaurants in town. Offering authentic Greek dishes at a reasonable price. With endless praise on Facebook views and hitting high on Scunthorpenights.co.uk web stats.

The Wortley Hotel
Hearty home cooked food, with good portions. The Wortley are offering “Drive Thru Sunday Dinners” You can have 1,2 or 3 courses. You can place orders by phone 01724 842223. Kids menu also available. Read review here

The Beckwood
At the moment it is collection only, but the food looks TASTY! AVAILABILITY IS FROM 4pm WITH LAST ORDER TIME OF 9pm.
To order, simply call 01724 855990 or message their Facebook. They will arrange a specific collection time for you. One way system in place for collections. Cash or card payments are accepted.

42Apart Hotel
12pm till 10pm Monday to Saturday. Delivery and collection. Message for the menu or check their latest posts for menus.

Ali’s Food Hut
A great authentic place to eat. Situated in St Johns Market 1st floor. Ali’s offers a wide range of good quality and tasty dishes. Now available for delivery and collection.

If you can, then please try to order directly with the independent venue. Just Eat and other delivery websites do charge a fee to the venue, but sometimes it can just be a lot more convenient to browse a menu online and pay online via your phone.
