Another town centre venue closes due to Coronavirus fears

Message to our customers and colleagues.

The welfare of our customers and colleagues is of the utmost importance during this challenging time with the rapidly developing Coronavirus situation. In light of recent government communication and advice we have made the very difficult decision to close our venue until further notice.
We will keep you informed of any changes to the current situation and wish all of our customers, colleagues and friends well. We look forward to seeing you again very soon 🍸🍾🍹🥂🥃

Following the developments, we’ve decided that Saturday is too far away and the risk too great.
We are respectfully closed from now until further notice.
It’s worrying when our little project is more responsible and swift to act than those who can really make a difference. We hope that financial support reaches the people who need it right now and quickly. Now is not the time for a trickle down tickle. This will hit us but we recognise that there’s many people out there who it will hit harder.

To all our volunteers and young people:
You can still access us, if you need us.
A Youth worker will be available between 2-4pm Monday – Friday to see young people on an appointment, one to one basis. We’ll email you to let you know how to book (part of the risk management is the booking, don’t just turn up!).
We’ve set up Skype and that will be staffed between 12-2pm Monday to Friday for those that can’t/don’t want to leave their house.
To anyone else that may need us: The above applies to you too. Just send us a message and, if we can, we will.

We’re keeping busy as a team whilst we’re healthy. We’re all safe and we will be back. And, we’ll treat this as an opportunity to make the place and the project better. Let’s all get better.

Thinking of you all and wishing you the safest, happiest crisis possible. Stay safe, from the Cafe Indie Team. ❤💛🤍
