Dave McPherson is an English singer songwriter from Chelmsford, Essex, UK.

Best known for his work as lead singer and principal songwriter in award winning British rock band InMe, he has also had some success as a solo artist in his own right.

His style as a solo artist is far removed
from his role in InMe in that the songs are primarily folky but still feature rich programmed orchestration.

Dave started working on solo material as early as 2004 during down-time from InMe’s touring cycle. He has released a long string of independent EP’s, all hand made and self released, and has toured extensively playing close to 200 shows annually. In that time he has played venues ranging from Islington Academy all the way to tiny pubs in smaller towns such as
Devizes, Barrow and Bridgwater.

Dave has previously supported the likes of Charlie Simpson,
Devin Townsend, Andy Cairns, Big Country to name a few, and has regularly played well established festivals such as 2000 Trees, Download and Y Not Festival too.

Dave is an incredibly hard-working musician, and this was proven in 2012 when he worked on ‘The Good People Movement: 365’ – which undertook the mammoth task of writing and recording a song every day of the year.

Dave has many musical and non musical influences including Talk Talk,Loudon Wainwright III, Pink Floyd, Counting Crows, Roy Orbison, Sia, Damien Rice, Imogen Heap, Michael Jackson, Queen to name but a few and is heavily influenced by poetry & wordplay & lyrics that cut deep.

Dave is also a big fan of moving scores & soundtracks.
